 J&J Sports Service offers the finest custom built fishing poles!
We are a custom fishing / equipment and rod building shop located on the Chesapeake Bay
in Joppa, Maryland. My name is Joe Onorato and I am the owner and founder.
My fishing knowledge has been gathered from over 50 years of recreational and
tournament fishing ranging from blue water to farm ponds. Combined with 36 years in
the machining trade, I can confidently say
"I can build you a fishing rod as unique in
appearance as you are" and fitted to your person as if you had grown an extra limb.
J & J Sports Service was conceived and registered as a business in January 1994. Our
primary function has been to design and build custom made, top quality fishing equipment for
all categories of fishing enthusiasts, both novice and expert. Only the finest blanks and
component materials are used on each rod. No corners are cut and no trade tricks are
used. Every custom rod is hand built throughout the entire process. Every rod is custom built to order,
not grouped into categories for future mass marketing.
